Zia Sadeghian, Licensed Acupuncturist (they/ she)
Salt House Acupuncture
I am honored to join CLINIC Alternative Medicines. I was trained to be a primary care provider and received a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Academy of Chinese Cultural and Health Studies in California. While there, I interned at a bustling acupuncture clinic in downtown Oakland, where I worked with patients from all walks of life. I also wrote a research paper about the effects of acupuncture on depression. Previously, I received my Bachelor’s from Hampshire College in history and education, and later studied western herbalism for two years at the California School of Herbalism and Ancestral Apothecary’s Cecemanna program. I worked as a volunteer health educator at the SAGE project in San Francisco, where I provided resources and held small-group sessions with at-risk women to address health needs including issues of substance addiction, relationship health, and post-incarceration and sex worker health. I am a nationally board-certified acupuncturist.
As a queer, nonbinary, mixed-race person, I welcome people from all backgrounds to experience a trauma-informed space of non-judgement and understanding, where we can work together to encourage your system to experience more attunement and ease. I have a particular affinity and interest in pain management, mental/emotional/spiritual disorders (including anxiety, depression, and attachment issues), sleep disorders, respiratory health, digestive issues, and facial rejuvenation. I love working with highly sensitive people and incorporating coaching on energetic sovereignty.
I live in Amherst and can be found spending time in nature, nerding out with a book, making playlists, dancing, cooking Iranian and Italian food, and working in community for collective liberation.
Zia offers community acupuncture sessions at CLINIC Wednesdays and Thursdays 1- 5pm, and private sessions Tuesdays 1-5. Their prices are here.
